I just finished watching this youtube video titled, “why I hate religion, and Jesus too”

WARNING: lots of swearing.
This is a reply to the popular video “I hate religion, but I love Jesus”. This guy is a joke. To me, it’s just sad that he quoted the truth, yet does not believe it. He rejects it, by his own right. But he even said “Even if Jesus was real, I would hate him”.. (I’m not going to quote him word for word).
For me, I believe that everyone has the right to their own belief: Christianity (any of it’s denominations), Islam, Judaism, Atheism, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc. What’s wrong is to dedicate a part of your life hating and bashing the other. How is it that Atheism became about hate instead of just not believing in the existence any god? That’s all I see. I’m sure there exists some Atheists with more heart than this guy and many others out there, but in recent years, I have rarely encountered any.
I don’t believe in the doctrine of Islam (for example), but it doesn’t mean I’m going to bash everything about it. I have a life, a heart and enough respect to behave myself, and to watch not only what I say out loud but also what I think to myself.
Whatever the belief is, if it or people, irregardless of their belief, are not founded on love and respect for one another, that’s the only problem we all, at the very least, must agree on. At the end he says he wants peace. Well someone is going to clarify how peace and a 14-minute hateful message correlate.
True peace is achieved not when we all agree, but when we can all coexist. Because the path to unanimity is bloody, where you either kill all opposing, or torture them till they yield. It’s disgusting how many people out there would opt for this path to unanimity, no matter the cost.
